The result of an electrical shock can include death and electrical burns, which can cause serious internal damage, especially to the heart, muscles, nerves and brain.
When something goes wrong, make sure you turn the power supply off and request service from a registered electrician. Otherwise you may risk injuring yourself or someone else who lives with you and you could be prosecuted and fined up to $10,000 (section 163, Electricity Act 1992). Further, your insurance company may decline a claim if you have undertaken deficient work. It’s just not worth it!
A registered electrician has the skills and experience to do the job properly and safely.
Inexperience & improper electrical work may cause fire, personal injury & death. With electricity, there is simply no room for any mistakes.
